    Dear Dyami, As a licensed real estate professional, it is my responsibility to thoroughly verify information provided in rental applications on behalf of the property owners I represent. That process often includes follow-up questions, clarification of inconsistencies, and confirmation of third-party references — all of which are standard practice, especially in today’s climate where identity and rental fraud are a real concern. Your application was still under consideration when we met at the property. My questions during the process were part of the routine and necessary due diligence required by both state law and my client’s instructions — particularly when inconsistencies appear. I also made time to meet with you at the property in person to ensure it was a suitable fit and that you had an opportunity to view the unit, since you had not seen it yet. Regarding the property details: I’ve represented this rental unit since 2018 and am very familiar with its features and history. While I strive to ensure accuracy across all platforms, third-party websites like Zillow sometimes display MLS data differently from the original listing — something I attempted to clarify during our meeting. Unfortunately, that conversation became tense, and I regret that we were unable to continue it in a more constructive manner. I understand that situations like this can be frustrating, but I strive to remain respectful and professional, even when difficult conversations arise. Unfortunately, the tone of our in-person interaction became hostile. I was called names and made to feel uncomfortable during what should have been a routine showing. My obligation is to act in the best interest of my client — the property owner — while treating all applicants fairly and lawfully.
